A small formality before you arrive.
Himachal Pradesh Police asks every homestay to keep a register of its guests' government ID, the same check hotels do at the front desk. Upload a photo of an ID for each adult in your group here, and we'll have everything ready before you reach. It takes about a minute.
— how your information is handled
- Required by law, used only for that. Your ID goes into the police guest register and nowhere else. We never share, sell, or use it for marketing.
- Encrypted and private. Photos travel over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and are stored encrypted in a private Google Drive that only the host can open. Nothing is kept on this website.
- Read automatically so you don't type. A secure AI service reads the name, date of birth and address off the card to fill the register. It doesn't keep or learn from your document.
- Aadhaar numbers are masked. Our register stores only the last four digits.
- Deleted on request. Want it gone after your stay? WhatsApp us and we'll remove it.
